Brianna I. Banks (she/her) is an advanced doctoral psychology intern at Konick and Associates who provides comprehensive assessment and psychotherapy services to child, adolescent, and adult clients. Brianna grew up on the West Coast and has moved across the country to further her education in clinical psychology. She graduated from the University of California–Davis with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Currently, Brianna is a fifth-year graduate student in Northern Illinois University’s Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program with an emphasis in child development and the integration of family and contextual systems.

Brianna’s clinical work as an advanced assessment extern at a psychological practice has furthered her knowledge in testing clients across the lifespan and with a variety of presenting problems. Her work at the Psychological Services Center and at a psychological practice specializing in children with selective mutism has provided her with experience utilizing evidence-based treatments such as Acceptance and Commitment interventions, Dialectical Behavioral techniques, Cognitive-Behavioral interventions, Parent Management Training interventions, and exposure and response prevention. Moreover, Brianna is experienced in diagnosing and treating a wide range of presenting concerns.

Due to her prior experience as an Assistant Preschool Teacher, Brianna is especially passionate about incorporating her clients’ global strengths and their broader systems, which may include families and schools, in her assessments and treatment. She strives to meet her clients and their families with empathy and compassion and provide them with comprehensive assessments and treatment that are tailored to each individual’s unique needs. Brianna is excited to continue growing professionally through her work at Konick and Associates and is looking forward to providing comprehensive psychological assessments and treatment for families, children, adolescents, and adults as an Advanced Doctoral Intern.

Brianna is under the supervision of Dr. Lisa Konick and Dr. Kristen Suing.
