Jordan Mueller
Specialty Focus:
Jordan Mueller (she/her) is a Counseling intern at Konick and Associates who provides counseling services and psychotherapy to children and adolescents. She received her bachelor’s degree in exercise science with a minor in psychology from Webster University in St. Louis. She is a graduate student at Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois, pursuing her master’s degree in clinical psychology with a focus on children and adolescents. She works with a range of client populations, including children three years old+, adolescents, and young adults.
In her current master’s program, Jordan is focusing on human development, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), art therapy, counseling LGBTQ+ clients, and other topics related to psychotherapy. Jordan also worked at Little Friends, a school for autism and behavior disorders, for the past three years. Jordan assisted in a range of classrooms at Little Friends, from verbal to non-verbal, where she supported students with a wide array of abilities. Jordan enjoys working with clients and their families to ensure everyone is heard in the treatment process.
Jordan grew up in Naperville, Illinois, and lived in the area for most of her life. While in college, she took courses that enabled her to take a well-rounded approach in her clinical practice, including approaches to treating people with autism and working with Afghan refugee women and children to assist diverse populations. Jordan also served as a peer leader for students with disabilities and she devoted three semesters to supporting students with autism, Down syndrome, and other developmental disabilities. In addition, Jordan served as a teaching assistant in a classroom aiding autistic children and as an inclusion aide at a summer camp for children on the autism spectrum. Jordan is excited to learn and grow professionally during her internship at Konick and Associates.
