Sandra Lukashevich (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor. She received a Master’s of Science degree in Clinical Psychology from Benedictine University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from North Park University. She works with adolescents 12 years old and up, adults, seniors, and families.

Sandra is a dynamic, compassionate, and insightful therapist. She is able to quickly establish rapport with individuals, couples, and families. As a Cognitive Behavior Therapist, Sandra combines supportive education with research-based methods to equip clients with the necessary tools to overcome their symptoms and to transfer learned skills to real-life situations outside of the therapy session.
Sandra takes a mindful approach to counseling. Her work with couples incorporates validated intervention approaches, including the Gottman Method and Emotional Focused Therapy techniques, which enable the couple to uncover and address foundational challenges in their relationship. She is also a Board Certified Telemental Health Provider, allowing her to offer quality care in person, as well as through virtual therapy sessions.
As a Certified Domestic Violence Provider, Sandra has solid experience with trauma and domestic violence victims. Her skills in these areas focus on empowering children and adults to prevail over the pain that has impacted their lives. Her experience also includes counseling for self-harm, bullying, PTSD, and gender and sexual identity issues.
In addition, Sandra is a Certified Dementia Practitioner, which enables her to provide counseling and cognitive rehabilitation therapy to persons with a dementia diagnosis. Her clinical focus with this population is to preserve cognitive function, address co-occurring mental health symptoms, and assist patients to maintain their highest level of independent functioning.
