Kimberly Foster, LCSW (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Clinical Supervisor. She received a Master of Arts in Social Work with a specialization in Clinical Social Work from Loyola University Chicago. She specializes in teens ages 16+, adults, and couples.

Kimberly is an experienced clinician with a demonstrated history of working in various levels of care, including inpatient mental health, dual diagnosis and detox, primary care settings, private practice and community mental health. Kimberly’s therapeutic approach is integrative. She is interactive, compassionate, and versatile which allows her to establish rapport with her clients quickly. Collaboration in the therapeutic relationship is core to her work and she emphasizes the importance of being transparent, accountable and remaining curious throughout the journey of life, as she views self-identity and self-awareness as transitional.

She incorporates validated intervention approaches including the Gottman method, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Attachment theory, Problem Solving Treatment (PST), Behavioral Activation (BA), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to guide clients through emotional constraints, stress and vulnerability without judgment. She believes in a strengths-based approach and prioritizes the establishment and nurturing of the client’s autonomy as a foundation to holistic health. Kim is experienced in providing compassionate counseling for individuals and families dealing with complex medical challenges, grief, and adjustment to chronic illness.
