Dr. Phillipe Kleefield (he/him) is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in diagnostic and psychological assessment. He earned his PsyD from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2021 and completed his pre-doctoral internship through West Virginia University School of Medicine. As an active member of The Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT®), he is authorized to provide virtual therapy to clients across 42 states.

Dr. Kleefield believes psychological assessment is a unique skillset that helps clarify symptoms, inform treatment, and connect individuals to necessary supportive services. His approach is collaborative and person-centered, integrating each client’s background, experiences, and additional sources of information for a holistic understanding of their symptoms. He has extensive training in psychological assessment for children, adolescents, and adults, with expertise in evaluating concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), personality dysfunction, learning disorders, autism spectrum disorder, and memory issues.

In therapy, Dr. Kleefield primarily works with adults in individual therapy. He has specific experience supporting individuals across the LGBTQIA+ spectrum, as well as veterans and their families. His approach is structured and evidence-based, prioritizing a therapeutic environment where clients feel validated, understood, and heard. He primarily utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) while incorporating Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) techniques. His interventions are tailored to each client’s unique background, ensuring that therapeutic strategies are both meaningful and applicable to their life.
