Colleen Bartlett (she/her) is an advanced doctoral intern at Konick and Associates who provides comprehensive assessment and psychotherapy services to children 8+, adolescents, and adults. Colleen earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Notre Dame and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in clinical psychology at Northern Illinois University, with a focus on the ways adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) affect children’s development.
While working at the Psychological Services Center at Northern Illinois University, Colleen has gained experience conducting assessments, including independent educational evaluations (IEEs), and providing individual and family therapy services with clients across the lifespan. She has experience implementing evidence-based treatments such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), exposure therapy, and Parent Management Training (PMT). Colleen has also worked as a behavior consultant at a long-term care facility for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a behavior consultant, she conducted cognitive assessments, provided therapeutic support for residents, and developed behavior modification plans to support staff members in managing challenging behaviors.
Colleen is experienced in diagnosing and treating a wide range of presenting concerns and strives to provide compassionate care tailored to her clients’ unique needs. She is excited to continue to grow professionally through her work as an advanced doctoral intern at Konick and Associates.
Colleen is supervised by Dr. Kristen Suing and Dr. Phillipe Kleefield.
